Food Security of Russia and the Potential for Livestock Food Security of Russia and Potential Opportunities of Animal Farming

ABSTRACT: Food the independence. Uninterrupted supply the population with food. The ability of domestic sheep and fodder Russia to increase production of mutton. The role of livestock products. Consumer especially lamb.Opportunities forage base for larger animals. Evaluated not used forage base of agriculture for possible expansion of the livestock of sheep and goats. Proposed mathematical evaluation of the potential growth of production of mutton and goat meat. The model is considered to increase the production of mutton depending on breeding stock in sheep farms. The results of the cost estimate of the amount of forage necessary for the development of sheep meat orientation. Assessment of available forage base of agricultural land showed the possibility of a sharp increase in the production of mutton in Russia
