Antidiabetic effects of methanolic extract of Centella asiatica (Linn.) on induced hyperglycemic rats

ABSTRACT: Experiments were conducted to study the effect of Centella asiatica (Linn) on induced hyperglycemic rats. The results of the present study indicates that methanolic extract of Centella asiatica significantly reduce the blood glucose and plasma levels in Streptozotocin induced hyperglycemic rats both in acute and chronic cases.
