ABSTRACT: The removal of Copper (II) ions from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto crosslinked polymeric calcium alginate beads was studied at fixed pH (4.0) and room temperature (±25oC). The progress of the adsorption process was monitored and various adsorption parameters were evaluated. The experiments were conducted to determine the pH profiles, time dependencies and capacities of copper uptake.
